RESOLUTION 2026-14 <br /> A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONTRACT <br /> FOR THE 2026 BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL PARK AREA STREET IMPROVEMENT <br /> PROJECT <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council of Hugo previously directed the City Engineer to advertise for <br /> bids for the above-referenced project, and <br /> WHEREAS,bids were publicly received and opened on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT BE RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br /> Minnesota, as follows: <br /> 1. All bids for the construction of the 2026 Bald Eagle Industrial Park Area Street <br /> Improvement Project have been received and are tabulated on the attached <br /> summary. <br /> 2. The bid of Bituminous Roadways, Inc., in the amount of$3,572,331.00 for the <br /> base bid plus alternates one and two and provisional items for the construction of <br /> said improvements, is in accordance with the plans and specifications and <br /> advertisement for bids and is the lowest responsible bid. <br /> 3. The Mayor and Administrator/Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter <br /> into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and <br /> on behalf of the City of Hugo. <br /> 4. The City Administrator/Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return <br /> forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit <br /> of the successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a <br /> contract has been executed. <br /> Council members voting AYE: Krull, Miron, Petryk, Strub <br /> Council members voting NAY: None <br /> Whereupon said resolution was declared passed and adopted this 4th day ot-M <br /> Tom Weidt, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Michele Lindau, City Clerk <br />
