AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA,
AMENDING HUGO CITY CODE CHAPTER 150 REGULATING THE
CONSUMPTION OF LIQUOR, BEER, AND WINE TO ALLOW THE SALE OF
STRONG BEER WITH AN ON -SALE WINE LICENSE AND A 3.2 LICENSE
PROVIDING 60% OF GROSS RECEIPTS ARE ATTRIBUTED TO FOOD SALES
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Hugo does hereby amend Hugo City Code,
Chapter 150, Section 4, Subdivision 7 On -Sale Wine License by adding the following:
"The holder of an on -sale wine license, who is also licensed to sell 3.2 on -sale liquor, is
allowed to sell intoxicating malt liquors on -sale without obtaining an intoxicating liquor license
provided at least 60 percent of the gross receipts are from food sales."
Section 2. Severability. In the event that a court of competent jurisdiction adjudges any
part of this Ordinance to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect any other provision of this
Ordinance no specifically included within that judgment.
Section 3. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage
and publication according to law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Hugo on the 21" day of
May, 2007.

HEARING
The Hugo City Council will hold
a public hearing on Monday,
May 21, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Hugo
City Hall to consider an amend-
ment to Hugo City Code, Chap-
ter 150, LIQUOR LICENSES,
to allow the sale of intoxicating
malt liquor with a 3.2 malt liquor
license, provided they also have
a wine license and 60 percent
of their gross receipts are attrib-
utable to the sale of food. Any-
