HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003.02.18 ORD 2003-369CITY OF HUGO ORDINANCE NO. 2003-369 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AUTHORIZING ESTABLISHMENT OF FEES, RATES AND CHARGES WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of establishing a uniform system of fees for requests relating to official controls, information, permits, applications or other matters handled by the City, and; WHEREAS, the City conducted a thorough study of its fees in relation to the costs associated with administering the City Code, including the official controls; and, WHEREAS, the fees included in this ordinance are based on the Rate and Fee Study dated January 31, 2002, which is included as Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS, the fees included in this ordinance are based on an approximate 3% operating increase in the fees previoulsy established for 2002. NOW, THERFORE, it is ordained by the City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota, that Chapter 91 of the City Code of the City of Hugo is hereby established providing as follows: Section 91-1. The City of Hugo is authorized to impose fees, rates or charges and the same shall be enumerated in this section or elsewhere in this Code. In the event of any conflict between this section and any other provision of the Code, this section shall control. Section 91-2. The fee shall be doubled for after -the fact permit applications. 2. The Uniform Building Code establishes a fee schedule for grading permits. Section 91-3. Severability. In the event that a court of competent jurisdiction adjudges any part of this Ordinance to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect any other provision of this Ordinance no specifically included within that judgment. Section 914. Not Exclusive. This Ordinance shall not limit or preclude any other fee, rates or charges required by this Code. Section 91-5. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
