AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUGO, WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA,
SETTING AND AUTHORIZING FEES FOR FALSE ALARM RESPONSES PURSUANT
TO ORDINANCE CHAPTER 37 OF THE CITY OF HUGO
WHEREAS, the Hugo City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 1198-319 to regulate
alarm and communication systems; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance authorizes the City, by Resolution, to set fees related to false
alarms and a cost to be assessed if dishonored checks are presented to the city of Hugo for
payment of the fees for false alarms; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of specifying said feeds by ordinance rather than by
resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordained by the City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington
County, Minnesota, that Chapter 37 of the City Code of the City of Hugo is amended as follows:
Section 1. Add the following as Section 37.02(c):

Section 2. At Section 37.02 delete the words "council resolution" and replace them with
the words " This Ordinance".
Section 3. If any portion of this Ordinance is held invalid or unenforceable by any court
of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not impair or effect the remaining portions hereof.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be effective after its passage and publication according
to law.
WHEREUPON, the foregoing Ordinance was duly made, seconded and approved this 7th
day of July 2003.
