HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000.03.15 ORD 2000-336ORDINANCE NO. 2000-336 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING HUGO CITY CODE CHAPTER 320 BY INCREASING THE SIZE OF ACCESSORY BUILDINGS PERMITTED ON LOTS OF TEN ACRES OR MORE IN SIZE LOCATED IN THE URBAN RESIDENTIAL ZONING DISTRICT. (First Amendment to HSC Chapter 320) The City Council of the City of Hugo does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. Hugo City Code, Chapter 320, Section 6.3, Figure 6-1, as it relates to the permitted size of accessory buildings in the Urban Residential Zoning District shall be amended to read as follows: Maximum Number of Maximum Combined Accessory Buildings Size of Accessory Zoning District Allowed Buildings Urban Residential, based on lot size Lots under one acre 1 260 Square Feet One acre, but less than ten acres 1 870 Square Feet Ten acres or more 3 3,600 Square Feet Section 2. Hugo City Code, Chapter 320, Section 6.3, shall be amended to add a paragraph "F" to read as follows: F. Accessory buildings situated in the Urban Residential Zoning District, which exceed 1,088 square feet in size, shall be located to meet the setback and other dimensional requirements for the Agricultural Zoning District found in Section 3 of this ordinance, as well as the vegetative buffering requirements found in Section 5.18 V. Section 3. Hugo City Code, Chapter 320, Section 5.18, shall be amended to add a paragraph "V" to read as follows: V. Vegetative Buffering. Where required, vegetative buffering shall interrupt the view of the objects being buffered from public road right-of-way and adjacent property. No more than fifteen lineal feet of the object being buffered shall be visible from public -road right-of-way and adjacent properties without a vegetative interruption extending from the base of the object to a minimum height of six feet. Coniferous and deciduous trees and shrubs may be used to fulfill this requirement. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after its passage and publication according to law.
