The special meeting was called to order by Mayor Atkinson at 7:00 PM.
PRESENT: Jesinski, Olson, Vail, Atkinson
City Administrator, Ken Huber
City Cable TV Consultant, Mark: Ayotte
City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager
ABSENT: McAllister
Mr. Ayotte, the city's consultant in this matter, reviewed the analysis of
Citation Cable and North Central Cable TV's proposals with the City
Council.
CITATION CABLE PRESENTATION
Mr. Dean Wandry, representing Citation Cable, reviewed Citation's
proposal., and answered questions from city staff and the City Council
regarding said proposal.
NORTH CENTRAL CABLE TELEVISION PRESENTATION
Mr. John Eddy, representing North Central Cable Television, reviewed North
Central's proposal, and answered questions from city staff and the City
Council regarding said proposal.
Mayor Atkinson then opened the public hearing to consider any questions
from the audience. Roger Dirks was the only resident present, and
inquired as to whether the microwave dish that might be placed on the
water tower, as mentioned by Citation Cable, would interfere with the fire
department's radio. Mr. Wandry stated that that would not be a problem.
There were no written comments received by the city regarding this matter.
Mayor Atkinson closed the public hearing at 9:45 PM. After a lengthy
discussion by the City Council, the following motion was introduced:
Vail made motion, Jesinski seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1989-4, A
RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE APPLICATION OF NORTH CENTRAL CABLE COMMUNICATIONS
CORPORATION TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN A CABLE COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM FOR
THE CITY OF HUGO .
VOTING AYE: Jesinski, Olson, Vail, Atkinson
VOTING NAY: NONE
Motion Carried.
Atkinson made motion, Olson seconded, authorizing a temporary mobile
office permit for a 24 month period to serve as temporary City Hail office
space, and the purchase of same in the amount of approximately $7990.00
All aye. Motion Carried.
Atkinson made motion, Vail seconded, to adjourn at 10:15 PM.
