MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL
Special Meeting Jun 12, 1986
The special meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 7:OOPM.
PRESENT: Peltier, Potts, Hauer, Schwab, McAllister
The purpose of the special meeting wasto receive the report from the Hugo
fire Chief regarding the Forest Lake Ambulance Service.
Two items were discussed prior to the chief's report.
George Miron - Subdivision - Mr. Miron plans to divide 60 acres from approximately
160 acres. Twenty acres is zoned Conservancy, forty is zoned Agriculture. The
property is located at 165th and Ingersoll.
Potts made motion, seconded by Peltier to approve the Subdivision for George
Miron to divide 60 acres from 160 acres providing the City with a Certificate
of Survey, a 30' easement for the extension of 165th St. along the south line
of the property, and parkland dedication fee of $100.00.
All aye. Motion carried.
George LeMay - Subdivision - Mr. LeMay would like to divide two ten acres parcels
from 80 acres for the purpose of building a new residence.
Peltier made motion, seconded by Potts to approve the application for George
LeMay, 9296 130th St. to divide two ten acre parcels from 80 acres with the
following conditions;
1. A thirty foot easement along the west property line of the west ten acre (a & c)
parcel dedicated to the City of Hugo.
2. A certificate of survey is received.
3. Parkland dedication fee of $200.00 is paid.
All aye. Motion carried.
Fire Chief Istvanovich presented his report comparing Forest Lake Ambulance
to White Bear Lake Ambulance Service. Terry Brenny and Barry Mattson from
Forest Lake were present and stated they felt that the City of Hugo could
feasibly be divided with each ambulance service providing care to their
appropriate portion of the City. Mr.McLaughlin and Tim Vadnais did not feel
they could comment on whether White Bear would be willing to enter an agree-
ment of this nature.
Mayor McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded to appoint Dr. Mayer, Mr.
McLaughlin, Terry Brenny, and Ron Istvanovich to study further the possibilities
of a combined service and recommend to the City in approximately 45 days what
their findings are.
AYE: Peltier, Hauer, Schwab, McAllister
ABSTAIN: Potts
Motion carried.
The clerk's office will provide any necessary information to the committee.
Motion made by Peltier, seconded by Schwab to adjourn at 8:35PM.
