October 13,1986
The special meeting was called to order by Mayor McAllister at 7:30 PM.
PRESENT: Hauer, Peltier Potts, Schwab, McAllister
PETER MILLER - VARIANCE
The PC considered the request of Mr. Miller for a 5' variance from the front
setback of 40' and recommended approval.
MOTION: Potts made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the variance application
of Peter Miller, 12530 Hilo Avenue, for a 5' variance from the 40' front
yard setback requirement. Mr. Miller is to execute a hold -harmless
with the City for any problems resulting from the issuance of this
variance.
All aye. Motion Carried.
MOTION: McAllister made motion, Potts seconded, that the Clerk's office issue
a copy of the city's setback requirements with every Building Permit
application, and to high -light the setback for that particular zone.
All aye. Motion Carried.
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
Ken Huber and Mark Nagel have declined the position of City Administrator.
MOTION: McAllister made motion, Hauer seconded, that the Mayor and City Clerk
be authorized to execute an Employment Agreement for City Administrator
with Monte Eastvold, with the following insertions: $33,400 salary,
4a% retirement, 10 days vacation, 10 sick days (all three per year
during life of contract), and $500.00 moving expense.
VOTING FOR: Hauer, Schwab, McAllister
VOTING AGAINST: Peltier, Potts
Motion Carried.
MOTION: McAllister made motion, Potts seconded, that in the event Mr. Eastvold
should reject the contract offer, Messrs. Hauer and Atkinson are re-
quested to interview and have three more finalists for the City Council
at a future meeting.
All aye. Motion Carried.
BUILDING INSPECTOR
Mr. Crever received a call from the Mardell law office regarding the sentence
review of the Joe Card fence matter. It was the opinion of Crever that Joe
Card has complied with the conditions of the initial sentence. Mardell's office
is to be notified that the matter should be considered closed.

DAVID SCHUMANN
Mr. Schumann, 7630 137th Street, had until August, 1986, in which to remove
the vehicles from his property. He had been denied an auto dismantling license
for his residence.
MOTION: Schwab made motion, McAllister seconded, that the City forward a
letter to City's prosecuting attorney for the filing of charges,
if appropriate, against David Schumann for operating an auto reduction
yard without a license, and the storage of unlicensed vehicles on
his property at 7630 137th Street.
All aye. Motion Carried.
MOTION: Potts made motion, Peltier seconded, to adjourn at 8:05 PM.
