TIME: 7:30 P.M. January 22, 1976
PRESENT: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schietty arrived 8:40 P.M.
ABSENT: Smith
OPEN SPACE PROGRAM
Attorney Johnson was advised by Lino Lake attoreny that Lino
Lakes is essentially opposed to any further park land being taken
from within the boundaries of Lino Lakes. Their City Clerk is
to notify Anoka County Commissioners that they remain firm in
their request and; no additional park land be taken from Lino
Lakes. They are therefore not in favor of the use of the Huber
Property for Open Space Purposes and will not go on record as
approving such.
MOTION: Lease made motion, Leroux seconded to deny the request
from the Ramsey County Open Space Program regarding the
Huber Parcel so as not to put Lino Lakes in any undo
hardship position.
VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux MOTION CARRIED
Lino Lakes to be notified of City Council position and realtor
Baber.
HORTON -v- CITY
Attorney to report on February 2, 1976. Specific conditions of
involvement:
1 . No parking signs posted.
2. Letter of credit in the amount of $5,000.00
3. Parking lot - Council feels this would be acceptable
if according to provisions - free of junk cars.
4. Fire lanes - maintained and driveable.
5. Fence is acceptable.
6. Trees would be acceptable if planted as fated in
their letter.
7. Fire break around perimeter.
8. Driveway kept free at all times.
Recoverable expenses to be discussed for past and future expenditures.
C.E.T.A. PROGRAM - UTILITY MAINTENANCE
MOTION: Lease made motion, LaValle seconded to hire George D.
Koland 10441 - 140th. St. No. , Scandia, Minnesota under
t e Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (C.E.T.A. )
Ptogram Title VI to began work effective February 2, 1976
at a salary of $815.00 per month.
VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux MOTION CARRIED
MC CULLOUGH & SONS. INC. - Clerk to notify McCullough that before
renting building a Certificate of Occupancy has to be issued.
SCHUNEMAN - Attorney Johnson to write letter regarding their phase
out program.
VALLEY VIEW TERRACE PRELIMINARY PLAT
Attorney submitted his report on the proposed plat - several areas
of concern were mentioned. It was also mentioned that Rice Creek
Watershed approved the preliminary plat pending final site plan.
JANURARY 22,1976
MOTION: Lease made motion, Schletty seconded instructing clerk 1 1
to write Rice Creek Watershed stating that more study
is being done of Valley View Terrace that the City
Council does not agree on the preliminary plat. The City
Council wishes also to be informed when the next meeting
is regarding the Valley View Terrace.
VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty. MOTION CARRIED
BALD EAGLE INDUSTRIAL PARK :- Special meeting will be held February
4, 1976 at 6:00 P.M. to discuss the Bald Eagle Industrial Park
plans.
MOTION: Lease made motion, Leroux seconded to approve a check
issued to the State Commissioner of Revenue for the
sales tax from Water and Sewer Revenue in an amount to
be determined by the Clerk.
VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Schletty. MOTION CARRIED
MOTION: Lease made motion, Leroux seconded to extend meeting
beyond 11 :00 P.M.
VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux and Schletty. MOTION CARRIED
Mayor Lease stated that if the Clerk works over forty (40) hours
a week, time and one-half per hour would be paid versus compensatory
time.
MOTION: Lease made motion, LaValle seconded to adjourn meeting
at 11 :40 P.M.
VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux and Schletty. MOTION CARRIED
