HomeMy WebLinkAbout1976.03.29 CC Minutes - Special Meeting MARCH 29, 1976 MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL SRECIAL MEETING 29 TIME: 7:20 P.M. PRESENT: Lease, LaValle, Leroux and Schletty. Smith arrived at 7:32 P.M. SPECIAL MEETING REGARDING SUNSET LAKE AREA RESIDENTS WITH SPECIFIC DRAINAGE PROBLEMS - RESULTING IN THE POLUTION OF THE LAKE. Those that were sent letters as direct violators were: Olson, Gamboni, Fellman, Card, Pavek, Day, Storms, Friel and Zinschlag. Mayor Lease explained that the City would be holding a Public Hearing on the drainage problems of Sunset Lake but wanted to know the feelings of the residents whether they wanted the lake to be used as a recreational lake or otherwise. There was a difference of opinion between the audience and Council as to what actually caused the elevation of Sunset Lake. The Engineer was instructed to look at the problem and to suggest 3 or 4 different methods of resolving the problem. MOTION: Lease made motion, Schletty seconded to hold a Public Hearing on April 27, 1976 at 7:00 P.M. at the Withrow Elementary School for informational purposes regarding the septic system and water level of the Sunset Lake and area residences. VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Smith and Schletty. MOTION CARRIED IT was mentioned that the Tauer/Strand problem had been resolved as per report of the Rice Creek Watershed said Mr. Tauer.
