AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE HUGO
CITY CODE ENTITLED "ADMINISTRATION"
The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County,
Minnesota, hereby ordains :
1. Delete Article II , Subd. A, establishing the Mayor's salary,
and insert the following in lieu thereof:
Subd. A. Mayor. The Mayor shall receive $90 .00 per
meeting, payable quarterly, for attendance at all duly
called regular, special, g
and emergency meetings of the City
g
Council at which a quorum is present.
2 . Delete Article II, Subd. B, establishing Council member
salaries , and insert the following in lieu thereof:
Subd. B. Council Member. Each Council Member shall receive
$75 . 00 per meeting, payable quarterly, for attendance at all
of the
special , and emergency duly called regular, pmeetings g
City Council at which a quorum is present.
3 . Delete Article II, Subd. C, establishing additional
compensation for the Mayor and Council Members, and. insert
the following in lieu thereof:
Subd. C. Travel and Training. The City Council shall
approve, in advance, attendance by the Mayor or Council
Members at special short courses, conferences , and other
meetings on matters of concern to the performance of their
duties , for which expense reimbursement is requested.
4 . Subd. D. Advances. All advances for travel and training
must be approved by the City Council.
5. Subd. E. Mileage. The City shall pay the current federal
mileage rate for use of personal vehicles in the course of
City related business.
6 . Subd. F. Workers Compensation. The Mayor and City Council
may, at its discretion, be included in the coverage of the
workers compensation act or similar-type injury protection
program.
7 . Subd. G. Effective Date. The provisions of this ordinance
shall be effective January 1, 1993 .
Upon roll call, the following Members voting AYE: Barnes,
Leroux, Brunotte, Miron
Upon roll call , the following Members voting NAY: Stoltzman
Whereupon said ordinance was declared passed and adopted tqis 5th
