HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986.06.02 ORD 1986-231 r ORDINANCE 1986-231 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 290 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "SUBDIVISION" BY AMENDING THE PARKLAND DEDICATION FEL FOR DIVISION OF PROPERTY. The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota, hereby ordains: Section 290-9, Subd. B, (3) - Delete in its entirety and insert the following: In all new subdivisions a minimum of seven percent (7%) of the gross area subdivided shall be dedicated for public recreation space or other public use. The dedicated percent of the gross area subdivided shall be in addition to public ways. No areas may be dedicated for public use until such areas have been approved by the governing body as suitable and necessary for the public health, safety, convenience, and general welfare. When the subdivision is too small for practical dedication of public land or if no land in the subdivision is suitable for such use, the subdivider may be required to pay a fee of $100.00 per lot created. Lots created in any manner or in any zone may be subject to the above requirements if in the opinion of the governing body the lots will not be resubdivided. E±FECTIVE DATE: This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and publication according to law, and upon becoming effective shall be incorporated in the City Code.
