Home My WebLink About1986.09.02 ORD 1986-236 ORDINANCE 1986-236 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 262 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM" BY AMENDING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR CITY SEWER INSTALLERS, THEIR BOND, AND LIABILITY INSURANCE. The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnnesota does hereby ordain, to-wit: 1 . In Chapter 262-6, Subd. A. (1) delete in line 7 "licensed plumbers or". 2. In Chapter 262-6, Subd. C, delete in its entire and insert the following: No sewer installer will be allowed to commence any sewer service, installa- tion, nor allowed to make any connection of any building sewer to a sewer line or to a sewer service, without first haveing obtained and deposited with the City a License bond, or cash deposit, or irrevocable letter of credit, in an amount of $5,000.00, in a form approved by the City, to insure the construction and operation in accordance with the requirements of this Chapter, and as security for safeguarding any damage to public property. The bond, cash deposit, or irrevocable letter of credit, shall remain in full force and effect for at least one year from the effective date thereof, and in all cases, shall be continued in full force and effect so long as said sewer installer is actively engaged in sewer work in the City of Hugo. 3. In Chapter 262-6, Subd. D, delete in Line 3 "such plumber, excavator". In line 7 delete "Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) and insert "Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) . 4. In Chapter 262-6, Subd. E, delete in line 1 "excavator or". In second paragraph, line 3 delete "an excavator or" and insert "a". 5. In Chapter 262-8, in second paragraph, line 1 delete "and/or plumber". 6. In Chapter 262-10, delete in line 2 "either" and "master plumber licensed by the State of Minnesota or a". In line 3, delete "plumbers" and insert "sewer installers". 7. In Chapter 262-11 , Subd C, in line 6 delete "plumber" and insert "sewer installer". In line 7, delete "plumber" and insert "sewer installer". 8. In Chapter 262-12, in 4th paragraph, line 2, insert "or" after " ," and before "a".
