HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986.11.17 ORD 1986-239 , ORDINANCE NO. 1986-239 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING ALL TAXING DISTRICTS WITHIN THE CORPORAIE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA. The City Council of the City of Hugo, hereby ordains: ARTICLE I - URBAN TAXING DISTRICT 100-1 . PURPOSE. Upon a review, it has been determined that the difference in level of provision of municipal services for the urban and rural taxing districts established in the consolidation proceeding pursuant to Chapter 414 by the Minnesota Municipal Commission no longer exists within the corporate limits of the City of Hugo. 100-2. RATIO OF BENEFITS. In the judgement of the governing body, the ratio of benefits resulting from tax supported municipal service to parcels of land of like, full and true value, is not equal for all property within the corporate limits of the City of Hugo. 100-3. TAXING DISTRICT. All land developed for commercial or industrial uses, and all improved platted land in the City of Hugo, shall be classified within the urban taxing district, and all unplatted land now in the rural service district shall be taxed at the rate of 90% until said rates are amended as provided by law. 100-4. EF.hECTIVE DA'Z'E. This Ordinance shall become effective January 1 , 1988, upon hearing, adoption, and publication pursuant to the provisions of Minnesota Statutues, Section 272.67, and upon filing of a certified copy hereof with the County Auditor prior thereto, or as soon thereafter as the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section 272.67 have been fully complied with. The Official copies of the Hugo City Code shall be amended to reflect the addition of the within Ordinance upon adoption, publication, and filing as hereinbefore required.
