Home My WebLink About1981.12.07 ORD 1981-185 ORDINANCE 185 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 320 OF THE HUGO CITY CODE ENTITLED "ZONING" BY AMENDING CERTAIN FEES AND ESTABLISHING NEW FEES AND A COST RECOVERY PROCEDURE FOR THE CITY. The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County, Minnesota, hereby ordains: 1 . In Section 320-10, entitled "Fees", delete all and insert the following: The minimum fee to be paid for each application shall be as follows: Site Plan, Farm $10.00 Site Plan, Residential Zones $15.00 Site Plan, RB, CB, or I $75.00 Zoning Amendment Petition $65.00 Variance Application $15.00 Special Use Permit $45.00 Amended Special Use Permit $25.00 Planned Unit Development $200.00 plus $5.00 per acre Planned Unit Development Amendment $50.00 Land Division $25.00 per parcel created It is the purpose of the City to recover all costs and expenses incurred. Immediately after an application is filed, the City shall provide an estimate of the cost of expenses and review. The applicant shall be notified of the estimate, and shall immediately deposit an additional sum of money being the difference of the application fee and the estimated cost. If during the course of review, it is determined by the City that the amount of money deposited by the applicant is insufficient to cover expenses, the applicant shall be notified, and an additional deposit of funds will be required. Upon com- pletion of review, and prior to final action by the City, the final costs shall be determined and applicant shall be notified of any deficiencies in the amounts of money deposited. Any such deficiency shall be paid to City by applicant prior to final action by the City. In the event costs actually incurred by the City are less than the estimated costs, the City shall refund to the applicant the difference between the amount of deposit less the base application fee and the actual expenses. Failure to deposit required expenses shall be a basis for rejecting the application. For applications that may result in action requiring periodic inspection or periodic review, the City may require reimbursement of any such additional expenses, and may require further deposit of funds to cover such anticipated periodic expenses, and may require such other or additional security as may be deemed appropriate to secure the reimbursement of expenses to the City. EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and publication according to law, and upon becoming effective shall be incorporated in the City Code.
