ORDINANCE NO. 173
AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE CITY OF
HUGO, MINNESOTA, AND REPEALING CHAPTER 250 OF THE HUGO CITY
CODE ENTITLED "POLICE" .
The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington County,
Minnesota, hereby ordains:
WHEREAS, the City can provide adequate police protection to
protect persons and property and provide for the protection
of the health and welfare of the citizens of City by contract
for services for police protection;
NOW, THEREFORE, -
1 . The Police Department of the City is hereby abolished.
2. Chapter 250 of the Hugo City Code, entitled "POLICE" ,
which provides for the establishment of a Police Department
for the City of Hugo, and the Rules and Regulations for
the Government of the same is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
3. This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its
adoption and publication.
