AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 110, OF THE HUGO CITY CODE,
ENTITLED, "FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION" TO PROHIBIT OPEN
BURNING, ELIMINATE FIRE WARDENS, AND ADOPT POLLUTION CONTROL
AGENCY REGULATIONS BY REFERENCE.
The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington
County, Minnesota hereby ordains:
1. Delete in their entirety the sections of the
Hugo City Code identified as follows:
A. Section 110-13, entitled, "Fire Wardens" ;
B. Section 110-14 , entitled, "Starting Fires,
Fire-Breaks; Unauthorized Fires" ;
C. Section 110-15, entitled, "Permission to
Start Fires; and
D. Section 110-17, entitled, "Barrel Burning" .
2. Delete Section 110-16, entitled, "Adoption of Open
Burning Regulations" , and insert in lieu thereof
the following:
"The provisions of APC-8, entitled "Air Pollution
Control Regulation" and adopted March 12 , 1976,
by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, is
hereby adopted by Reference, and made a part of
this Chapter as though fully set forth herein,
three (3) copies of which are on file in Office
of the City Clerk. "
3. Add Section 110-20 as follows:
"110-20. OPEN BURNING PROHIBITED. Open burning
is prohibited in the City of Hugo, except as may
be permitted by regulation of the Minnesota Pol-
lution Control Agency. "
4 . The official copies of the Hugo City Code shall be
amended to reflect the within changes upon passage
and publication of this Ordinance.
