The meeting was called to order by Mayor Don Lease at 7:06 P.M.
PRESENT: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle
ABSENT: Smith
3.0 APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Lease made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the minutes
of December 6, 1976, after the following change has been made;
Page 3 - 5.3 LITTLE LAMB'S PRESCHOOL. Last line should read,
"LaValle agrees that instructora should not be included."
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle.
MOTION CARRIED
4.0 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS
Leroux made motion, seconded by Schletty, to approve the general
claims with the following additions:
LaValle Excavating - $585.00
Marvin LaValle - $116.25
Howard Kuusisto - $918.00 ( to be paid from the sanitary sewer
construction)
Leroux made motion, seconded by Schletty, to amend motion to
include $2,900.00 (revenue sharing ) and $19,324.23 (sewer sinking
fund) to be invested in passbook savings.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle
MOTION CARRIED
LaValle made motion, seconded by Leroux, to pay the utility claims
as presented.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle.
MOTION CARRIED
5.0 PETITIONS. REQUESTS. COMMUNICATIONS. & LICENSES
5.1 Rezoning Requests
LaValle made motion, seconded by Leroux, to table the three
rezoning requests of Victor Myers, Grace Development, 'and Vern
Peloquin until the first meeting in January (January 3, 1977) .
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle
MOTION CARRIED
Vern Peloquin's letter of credit will expire on December 31 , 1976.
Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Schletty, to write a letter
to Vern Peloquin notifying him that his letter of credit for
the road in the amount of $7500.00 should be extended to
September 1 , 1977.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle

5.2 Licenses
Motion made by Lease, seconded by LaValle, that the following
licenses be issued to Stan Lynn's STAN'S BAR: On Sale Intoxi-
cating, On Sale Sunday, Cigarettes, and Soft Drink in the
amount of $1717.00.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaVAlle
MOTION CARRIED
Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Lease, that the Building
Inspector inform Stan Lynn of the process of getting a building
permit.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle
MOTION CARRIED
Leroux made motion, seconded by Schletty, that the following
Licenses be issued to the AMERICAN LEGION: On Sale Intoxicating
Liquor, Cigarettes, and Soft Drink in the amount of $117.00.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle
MOTION CARRIED
. 9 c Lease made motion, seconded by LaValle, that the following
t � licenses be issued to PAUL'S PIZZA: Cigarettes and Soft Drink
in the amount of $17.00.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle.

LaValle made motion, seconded by Lease, that Mary Mallinger's
rezoning request be tabled until the first meeting in January
(January 3, 1977.)

6.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
No discussion.
7.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS
No discussion.
8.0 NEW BUSINESS
8.1 Fire Site Inspector
Mr. Myers, Pollution Control Agency, would like to have someone
from the community inspect local requests for fire permits.
LaValle felt that that person should be somone from the fire
department. The fire department is having a meeting on December 28,
at which time LaValle will discuss the matter with the firemen.
Fire Chief felt this was a good idea. An application for the
fire permit will be needed, and a fee will be determined at a
later date.
5.2 Licenses
City Attorney stated that Nitti's Articles of Incorporation were not
included in the file. He suggested the licenses be approved, and
have Mr. Nitti send in the Articles.
Motion made by Lease, seconded by Leroux, that the following
licenses be issued to NITTI COMPANY. INC: On Sale Intoxicating
Liquor, On Sale Sunday, Soft Drink", and Cigarettes in the
amount of $1717.00.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle
MOTION CARRIED
Mayor Lease presented a letter from Lakewood Community College in
regards to their CPR Training Program to Fire Chief Jim Olson. Lease
suggested that maybe the police or firemen apply for the program.
Clerk stated that George Koland will be taking vacation from December 27,
1976 through January 3, 1977. Council has no problem.
Motion made by Lease, seconded by Leroux, to approve the vacation
of George Koland from December 27, 1976, through January 3, 1977.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle.
MOTION CARRIED
A gas tank will be purchased for the old school hall from Lakes Gas in
Forest Lake.
Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Leroux, that City Clerk, Carol
Williams call Lakes Gas in Forest Lake for purchase of a gas tank.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, Leroux, and LaValle
MOTION CARRIED
Fire Chief, Jim Olson, questioned City Attorney, Charles Johnson,
regarding the Mutual Aid Agreement with Forest Lake. Mr. Johnson
stated that he has to revise the agreement and will have it ready at
a later date.
LaValle and Schletty withdrew their motion regarding the letter of
credit due from Vern Peloquin. Mr. Peloquin presented a letter of
credit extended to October 1 , 1977.

Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Leroux, to accept the
letter of credit presented by Vern Peloquin to be extend to
October 1 , 1977.
VOTING FOR: Lease, Schletty, LaValle, and Leroux
MOTION CARRIED
Marvin LaValle will meet with John Boland, Metropolitan Council,
Wednesday, December 22.
City Clerk, Carol A. Williams, will be allowed to take her vacation
after the first of the year.
