OCTOBER 5, 1977 MINUTES OF THE PROC48DINGS OF SPECIAL BUDGET MEETING CITY COUNCIL 99 TIME: 7:10 PRESENT: LaValle, Schletty, Spitzer, Vail and Irsfeld The first department discussed was the City Council and Mayor salaries. Spitzer made motion to increase the mayors salary to $1200.00. After some discussion and at which time it was pointed out that the council cannot increase the salaries while presently serving, they could increase the mayor and coum it for future elected officials. MOTION: LaValle made motion, Spitzer seconded to table the proposed salaries after other department are considered. VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Vail, Schletty, and Irsfeld MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Spitzer made motion, LaValle seconded recommending the treasurers department be set at $1600.00. VOTING. FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Vail, Irsfeld and Schletty. MOTION CARRIED MOTION: LaValle made motion, Schletty seconded to set the clerks office at $19,555.00 VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Vail, Irsfeld and Schletty. MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Spitzer made motion, LaValle seconded to set the planning commission budget at $1800.00. VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Vail, Irsfeld and Schletty. MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Spitzer made motion, LaValle seconded to set the election budget at $1300.00. VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Vail and Irsfeld, MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Spitzer made motion, LaValle seconded to set the legal department budget at $9440.00. VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Vail and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Spitzer made motion, LaValle seconded to set the engineering department budget at $4000.00 VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Vail, and Irsfeld. MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Spitzer made motion, LaValle seconded to set the police department budget at 363,788.00 VOTING FOR: LaValle, Spitzer, Schletty, Vail and Irsfeld.
