The minutes of the proceedings of the Special Meeting of
The Hugo City Council on OCTOBER 30, 1979
PRESENT: Vail, Spitzer, Irsfeld
ABSENT: LaValle, Schletty
The Special meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Spitzer at 7:08 to further
discuss the Untion Contract proposed for the Police Department.
MOTION: Spitzer made motion seconded by Irsfeld to direct the City Attorney
to notify the teamsters union that the position outlined in the
letter of October 11 , 1979 is not acceptable. The points of
disagreement and the question of the city contracting with an
independent agency for police should be the subject of future
negotiations.
VOTING FOR: Vail, Spitzer, and Irsfeld
MOTION CARRIED
Acting Mayor Spitzer directs the City Attorney to make arrangements for
future meeting dates with the union representative.
MOTION: Irsfeld made motion seconded by Vail to adjourn the meeting
at 7:49.
VOTING FOR: Irsfeld, Spitzer and Vail
