MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF
August 1 , 1980
Themeeting was called to order by Mike McAllister, Planning Commission member, at
3:40 PM. Purpose of the meeting was to discuss the concerns regarding the Com-
prehensive Plan of Hugo, as submitted by Planner Carl Dale.
PRESENT: Spitzer and Irsfeld from City Council
McAllister, Peltier and Peloquin from Planning Commission
Attorney Johnson
Erick Wharton and Steve Bupp from engineer's office
Bob Lockyear, Washington County Planner
The Plan as submitted by Mr. Dale does not encompass the views of the city planners,
but seems to have been drawn to the guidelines of the Metro Council views. Mr. Lockyear
recognizes this, and has stated that the county will utilize the creditable information
available and present the corrected plan as being drawn up by the Planning Commission.
The maps can be used, but the comprehensive municipal plan as presented can be deleted.
The sewer plan should reflect future expansion rather than condense it as per in-
structions to the engineers who will correct the map.
Mr. Lockyear also statedthat the city has a contract with the county and no addi-
tional fees will be incurred to finalize the comprehensive plan. Any further
correspondence regarding the plan should be directed to Mr. Lockyear.
Meeting adjourned at 4:40 PM as per motion by Mr. Spitzer.
