MINUTES OF THE PROuELIJINGS OF THE SPECIAL lkitxxiNG OF THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL
May 27, 1982
The special meeting was called to order by Deputy Clerk/Treasurer, Lu Parchar,
at 8:00 PM.
PRESENT: McAllister, Schletty, Vail
Francis Langer, Assessor
ABSENT: LaValle, Irsfeld
MOTION: Vail made motion, Schletty seconded, to appoint McAllister presiding officer
of the special meeting.
VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Vail
MOTION CARRIED
Mr. Langer reviewed the recommendations and changes made to assessment valuation after
checking the parcels in question. Henry Schnider appeared before the Council and
questioned the valuation of his building and land lying in Section 17. The Council
recessed while Mr. Langer rechecked the parcel. Upon returning, he advised that the
valuation was placed at $50,000 on the building and $13,000 on the land. All mem-
bers present were in agreement on valuation. They informed Mr. Schnider he could
appear the action at the County Board of Review, which will be held on July 5, 1982.
Mr. Langer presented his proposal for 1983 assessment at $3.60/parcel including mileage.
This matter will be placed on the agenda for meeting of June 7th.
MOTION: Schletty made motion, Vail seconded, to approve the 1982 assessment valuation
for 1983 payable with corrections noted for the City of Hugo.
VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Vail
MOTION CARRIED
MOTION: McAllister made motion, Schletty seconded, that recommendations from the
assessor for the City of Hugo, as submitted at this meeting, be attached
to, and made a part of, these minutes.
VOTING FOR: McAllister,. Schletty, Vail
MOTION CARRIED
MOTION: McAllister made motion, Vail seconded, that the Sign In Sheet dated 5/12/82,
for the Board of Review, be attached to, and made a part of, these minutes.
VOTING FOR: McAllister, Schletty, Vail
MOTION CARRIED
It was noted that Councilman Schletty will not attend the meeting of June 7th.
MOTION: Schletty made motion, Vail seconded, to adjourn at 8:47 PM.
