Council Chambers, City Hall Call to Order Present: Rachel Berger, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub Staff Present: Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner Debi Close, Secretary Absent: Joan Benner, Jim Taylor, Tom Windisch Rachel Berger called the meeting to order at 7:03 pm. I. Approval of Minutes from January Meeting Strub made a motion, Schmid seconded to approve the minutes of the January 8, 2014 meeting. All ayes. Motion carried. II. Fox Meadows Park Dedication Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner, presented a proposal from Meridian Land Company to pay park dedication fees in the amount of $136,800 in lieu of dedicating land. Meridian Land Company submitted a preliminary plat application for 57 single-family homes to be known as Fox Meadows. It is located on 21.97 acres south of Beaver Ponds. Fox Meadows will be served by Beaver Ponds Park and will include trail connections to existing trails in Beaver Ponds. Rauschendorfer asked about a trail on 1251h Street North and future road improvements. Strub made a motion, Schmid seconded to accept the park dedication as proposed. All ayes. Motion carried. III. Trail Development Policy Strub made a motion, Berger seconded to table the Trail Development Policy discussion until the March 26, 2014 meeting. All ayes. Motion carried. IV. Recreation Program Update Shayla Syverson, Parks Planner informed that Movie night was cancelled on February 21, 2014 due to school closing and weather issues. Kidz n Biz will be held on April 26, 2014. City Council requested a joint workshop to strategize future recreation programs. April 23 and April 9 were discussed as potential dates of the workshop. VI. Adiournment Schmid made a motion, Rauschendorfer seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:51 pm. All ayes. Motion carried.
