HUGO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS
APRIL 24, 2003
Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
PRESENT: Brunotte, Puleo, Schumann
ABSENT: None
ALSO PRESENT: John Rask, Community Development Director
Michele Lindau, Secretary
Minutes March 13, 2003
Puleo made motion, Brunotte seconded, to approve the minutes for March 13, 2003.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
Almquist Variance for Accessory Building
The Board considered the request of Tim and Sharon Amquist, 9055 125th St.
Court North, for a variance to permit an accessory building with an exterior finish
that is inconsistent with the principal structure on property. The home is finished
with horizontal cedar lap siding and the pole building would be vertical steel
siding on two sides and the rear of the building. The front of the building would
be constructed to match the exterior of the home. Trees on both sides of the
building would screen it from neighboring properties.
Other than the applicant, there was no one at the meeting who wished to speak on
the request.
The Board found that other similar structures existed in the neighborhood and the
applicant had attempted to match the color of the accessory building to the
principle building as close as possible.
Brunotte made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the
variance for 9055 125th Street Court North.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
