Stockness Variance for Accessory Building (Continued)
The Board considered the application of Tim Stockness, 9757 122nd Street North,
for a variance to construct an accessory building closer to the road than the
principal structure. The accessory building would be approximately 1,860 square
feet in size and would be set back 892 feet from the front property line and 20 feet
from the side property line.
The application was considered at the November 13, 2003 Board meeting and
tabled because there were questions regarding the setback of the existing dog
kennel. Staff inspected the property on December 4, 2003 and found the kennel
had been moved to meet the 20 foot side yard setback.
Puleo made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the variance
for 9757 122nd Street North.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
Robert Olson Variance from Lake for Septic System
The Board considered the application of Robert Olson, 12980 Ingersoll Avenue
Board of Zoning Adjustments Meeting December 11, 20003 - page 2
North, for a variance to permit a septic system to be located within the 75 foot
setback from the Ordinary High Water (OHW) level of Sunset Lake, as required
in Hugo City Code, Chapter 320, Section 1155-020. For the past several years the
applicant had been experiencing problems with the current septic system,
requiring him to have it serviced every three weeks. Eklin Soil Testing took soil
borings on the property and found that the site is suitable for an in -ground system
as opposed to a mound system. Washington County Public Health and
Environment had reviewed the request and recommended that the City grant the
required variance.
Schumann made motion, Puleo seconded, to recommend approval of the variance for
12980 Ingersoll Avenue North.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
