HUGO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS
October 9, 2008
Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m.
PRESENT: Schumann, Galler, Puleo
ABSENT: None
ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD)
Rachel Simone, Associate Planner
Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant
Approval of Minutes — September 25, 2008
Galler made motion, Schumann seconded, to approve the minutes for September 25, 2008 as
presented.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
Marsha Bunge variance request from accessory building size requirements
Rachel Simone, the Associate Planner, described the application for Marsha Bunge to the
Planning Commission. Rachel explained that the applicant is in the C-3 Central Residential
zoning. The applicant is asking for 1536 sq ft for an accessory building where 600 sq ft is
allowed in the current zoning.
Rachel pointed out that this meets all variance criteria, spirit, intent, and standards necessary,
and that staff recommends approval.
Schumann opened the public hearing.
The applicant Darrel Bunge came forth and explained how this would be an added benefit for
him.
Schumann closed the public hearing.
Puleo motioned, Galler seconded to approve the variance request to the city council.
All Ayes, Motion Carries.
