HUGO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS
May 8, 2008
Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
PRESENT: Burmeister, Schumann
ABSENT: Puleo
ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director (CDD)
Rachel Simone, Associate Planner
Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant
Minutes of December 27, 2007
Burmeister made motion, Schumann seconded, to recommend approval of the minutes for
December 27, 2007 as presented.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
George Knuteson variances from the rear yard and shoreland setback requirements
Rachel Simone, the Associate Planner, described the application for George Knuteson at 10051
Kerry Ct. N requesting a variance to construct a building addition 15 feet from the side property
line where 20 feet is required by ordinance. The addition is proposed to be 20 feet from South
School Section Lake where a 200 foot setback is required by ordinance.
Rachel pointed out that this meets all variance criteria and standards necessary, and that staff
recommends approval.
Schumann opened the public hearing.
Schumann closed the public hearing.
Schumann stated that the DNR is not in disagreement with the request and neither is he.
Burmeister moved, Schumann seconded, to approve the variance from the rear yard and
shoreland setback requirements.
All Ayes, Motion Carries.
