CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2021-013 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING MUNICIPAL SUPPORT FOR THE <br />TRUNK HIGHWAY (TH) 36 AND MANNING AVENUE (CSAH 15) <br />INTERCHANGE PROJECT BY WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, Washington County's Capital Improvement Program includes an interchange <br />project at the intersection of Trunk Highway 36 and Manning Avenue (CSAH 15), in which <br />portions of the project are within the City of Lake Elmo as shown in Exhibit A; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo, in coordination with Washington County and MnDOT <br />has engaged in a preliminary design effort that started in June of 2017; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and County have engaged in a community engagement process as <br />part of the preliminary design effort intended to gather and consider public feedback for the <br />proposed project; and <br />WHEREAS, a County recommended Trunk Highway 36 and Manning Avenue (CSAH 15) <br />Interchange Project Layout, dated January 17, 2020, showing proposed roadway and pedestrian <br />improvements for the Project has been prepared and presented to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, a preliminary project cost estimate for the Project has been prepared and <br />presented to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, this resolution and approval does not obligate the City of Lake Elmo to any <br />cost share or maintenance obligations as those will be considered by the City at a later date. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, <br />The City of Lake Elmo supports the Washington County recommended layout for the Trunk <br />Highway 36 and Manning Avenue (CSAH 15) Interchange Project, dated January 17, 2020; and <br />2.
