RESOLUTION NO. 92 -22 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE POLICY THAT <br />IF ANY CITY EMPLOYEE IS ORDERED TO PERFORM A TASK <br />BY AN INDIVIDUAL COUNCIL MEMBER <br />NOT ACTING AT THE DIRECTION OF THE COUNCIL <br />THAT CITY EMPLOYEE SHOULD DIRECT THE COUNCIL MEMBER <br />TO DIRECT THE REQUEST TO THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo City Council hereby REAFFIRMS <br />both State Law and City Ordinance and Policy which state <br />that: No individual member of the City Council may order <br />any City employee to do any task, unless that member is <br />acting as an appointed agent of the Council as a whole. <br />WHEREAS, the City Administrator is vested by City <br />Ordinance with the administration of all City departments <br />and the supervision of all city employees, including paid <br />professional consultants. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the <br />Council hereby adopts the policy that, if any <br />is ordered to perform a task by an individual <br />not acting at the direction of the Council as <br />City employee should direct the Council Member <br />his /her request to the City Administrator. <br />ADOPTED by the Lake Elmo City Council thi <br />October, 1992. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary Kue fne City Administrator <br />Lake Elmo City <br />City employee <br />Council Member <br />a whole, that <br />to direct <br />h day of <br />David Johnson, M�(yor <br />
