RESOLUTION NO. 92 -23 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION PETITIONING THE BOARD <br />OF THE COTTAGE GROVE RAVINE WATERSHED <br />TO DISSOLVE THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo is a party to that <br />certain Joint Powers Agreement To Protect and Manage The <br />Cottage Grove Ravine Watershed (herein the "Joint Powers <br />Agreement "); and <br />WHEREAS, it is apparent that the parties to the Joint <br />Powers Agreement are unable to effectively resolve matters <br />of common concern regarding the Cottage Grove Ravine <br />Watershed; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lake Elmo City Council has determined that <br />it would be in the best interests of the citizens of the <br />City of Lake Elmo to dissolve the Cottage Grove Ravine <br />Watershed and petition the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil <br />Resources for the establishment of a Watershed District <br />pursuant to the provisions of Minn. Statute Chapter 103D.201 <br />through 103D.231. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lake Elmo City <br />Council hereby petitions the Board of the Cottage Grove <br />Ravine Watershed to dissolve the Joint Powers Agreement and <br />conduct public hearings for such purpose as required <br />pursuant to Chapter VI, Section 6.3 of the Joint Powers <br />Agreement. <br />ADOPTED by the Lake Elmo City Council this 20th day of <br />October, 1992., <br />ic, <br />David Johns oi -A ayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary Kueffn -f�City Administrator <br />
