��p 3 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96-23 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION <br />FOR A DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES PARK GRANT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has reviewed the need for winter grooming <br />of the ski trail system in Sunfish Park for the 1996-97 skiing season; and; <br />WHEREAS, the need for ski trail winter grooming for the approximate 13.1 <br />kilometers of ski trails in Sunfish Park exceeds the dollars available for such <br />services; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has grant monies <br />available for winter grooming of the ski trails; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of <br />Lake Elmo, that the City staff and Parks Commission, are hereby directed to <br />apply for a grant for maintenance of ski trails in Sunfish Park, and the City shall <br />enter into an agreement with Washington County to perform the maintenance of <br />the trails in Sunfish Park. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Administrator are hereby <br />authorized to sign such application to the Minnesota Department of Natural <br />Resources Minnesota Assistance Program funds through its Grant-in Aid <br />Program. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 20th day of August, 1996. <br />Signed: <br />`*n ',J*r6,_Mayor <br />j -, <br />Cc Ail <br />Mary KOeffner, 0i }i Admin istrator <br />
