City of Lake Elmo <br />Washington County, Minnesota <br />Resolution 2001 - 019 <br />RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A JOINT APPLICATION WITH THE <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY SOIL AND CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR SPECIAL <br />PROJECTCOST SHARE FUNDS THROUGH THE <br />BOARD OF WATER AND SOIL RESOURCES <br />WHEREAS, Fiscal Year 2002 State Cost Share Special Project Funds administered by <br />the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) are now available and must have applications <br />submitted by May 1, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo is interested in applying for these special project <br />dollars to assist in funding innovative stormwater management practice for the 50" Street <br />upgrade project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Washington Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) must be <br />the local administrator of special cost share dollars available from the BWSR; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed project is within the Goetschel Pond and Cloverdale Lake <br />watersheds, both of which are land locked basins, making innovation stormwater management <br />techniques as incorporated in this project, a. priority according to the Washington SWCD <br />Landlocked basin Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Lake Elmo City Council that the <br />City of Lake Elmo will sign a joint special project application with the Washington County <br />Soil and Water Conservation District, and forward it to the Board of Water and Soil <br />Resources; and <br />BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED, the City of Lake Elmo and the Washington County <br />Soil and Water Conservation District will sign a cost share contract if special project cost share <br />funding is awarded to this project. <br />Adopted by the Lake Elmo City Council this 3' day of April 22001. <br />Lee Hunt, Mayor <br />c <br />Mary Auefft City AaatListrator <br />
