CITY OF LADE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-026 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR THE 15TH STREET NORTH <br />ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS <br />(CSAH 13 TO LANE ELMO PARK RESERVE) <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 15"' Street North Roadway <br />Improvement (CSAH 13 to Lake Elmo Park Reserve), bids were received , opened and tabulated <br />according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />$363,321.27 <br />Engstrom Excavating, Inc. <br />$308,522.00 <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />$295,702.50 <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. <br />$261,334.65 <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. <br />$235,636.10 <br />Tower Asphalt, Inc. <br />$214,657.25 <br />AND WHEREAS, Tower Asphalt, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Tower, <br />Asphalt, Inc. in the name of the City of Lake Elmo for the 15`x' Street Road Improvement <br />(CSAH 13 to Lake Elmo Park Reserve), according to the plans and specifications therefor <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the city clerk. <br />2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits <br />made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest <br />bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 171h day of April, 2001. <br />Lee Hunt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Mar Cued er, Cit administrator <br />
