CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />I <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING MUNICIPAL CONSENT FOR PHASE I OF THE DOWNTOWN <br />STREET AND UTILITY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, a County Recommended CSAH 17 (Lake Elmo Avenue) Phase I Project, dated January 29, <br />2015, showing a proposed typical section for Upper 331 Street, 3611 Street, and Laverne Avenue as well as regional <br />drainage pond improvements within the limits of the City of Lake Elmo as a State Aid Project has been prepared and <br />presented to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City, in coordination with Washington County and Valley Branch Watershed District, <br />has engaged in a preliminary design process that started in January of 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and County have engaged in a significant community engagement process as part <br />of the preliminary design effort intended to gather and consider public feedback for the proposed project; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo that said <br />County Recommended CS AH 17 (Lake Elmo Avenue) Phase 1 Project be in all things approved with the following <br />amendments: 1) the approved preliminary design for Laveme Avenue north of 36"' Street shall include parking and I <br />sidewalk facilities on the west side of the roadway, and 2) the approved preliminary design for 36" Street from Lake <br />Elmo Avenue to Laverne Avenue shall include parking and sidewalk facilities on both sides of the roadway; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo <br />that the City of Lake Elmo supports the County continuing with the development of final plans necessary for the <br />construction of the project. <br />This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and without publication. <br />ADOPTED THIS FIFTH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2015 <br />OR= <br />am Bell, City Clerk <br />RESOLUTION 2015-08 <br />
