CITY OF LAKE 4i <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO 2010-018 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 13 (Ideal Ave) between Trunk Highway 5 and CSAH 35 <br />(501h Street North) including the boundary between the City of Lake Elmo and the City of <br />Oakdale. <br />WHEREAS, per MIS Statute 169.14, the authority to determine the safe and reasonable speed on <br />a County Highway resides with the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation, and; <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of all parties to have reasonable and safe speeds posted on <br />County Highways and City Streets, and; <br />WHEREAS, the accepted method to determine the reasonable and safe speed limit(s) is through <br />an engineering and traffic investigation, as required by statute; <br />1. That the City of Lake Elmo hereby approves this resolution to Washington County in <br />support of the authorization of the Commissioner of ' the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation to perform an engineering and traff e investigation to determine the <br />reasonable and safe speed limits) at the above referenced location. <br />2. That the City of Lake Elmo agrees to support the conclusions of the engineering and <br />traffic investigation, and the implementation of such conclusions. <br />3. That the Investigation be conducted after the 1 -494 and 1 -694 Construction Project has <br />been completed, and when it is determined that traffic volumes have returned to normal, <br />non - construction related conditions. <br />Dater , 2010 CIT�,.OE AID O <br />By. . <br />Dean A.
