MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 10, 2004 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10th day of <br />June, 2004 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and <br />the following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll <br />call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />Mr. Dan Knudsen <br />Mr. Gary Rheaume <br />Mr. Tom Wojcik <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Ms. I{athy Weihe <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Mr. Brandon Rickert, Cable TV <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer, Deputy Clerk <br />MINUTES The May 13, 2004 Planning Commission minutes were approved as <br />submitted. <br />TEXT The Planning Commission reviewed the proposed text amendment to the <br />AMENDMENT Zoning Code which would allow fora 5-foot side yard setback in the <br />TO ZONING R-1 District for attached garage space. The amendment also clarifies that <br />CODE - any living space would have to maintain a 10-foot side yard setback. It <br />SIDE YARD was noted that this proposed text amendment is the result of discussion at <br />SETBACK the Council meeting relative to the Hidden Acres request for a Residential <br />TN R-1 PUD to allow a 5-foot setback for the garage side of the proposed homes <br /> that would be constructed as part of this plat. The discussion at the <br /> Council meeting was that rather than allow for a reduced side yard setback <br /> for only Hidden Acres plat, if the City thinks this is a good idea, the <br /> opportunity should be afforded to all single-family homes in the City. <br />Knudsen pointed out that in reviewing the Residential PUD requested by <br />the developer of the Hidden Acres plat, the Planning Commission felt the <br />
