MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JULY 13, 2017 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of <br />July, 2017 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Vice -Chair Nick Sandell called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Mr. Nick Schwalbach <br />Mr. Al Davison <br />Mr. Chris Kwapick <br />Mr. Nick Sandell <br />Mr. Bill Buesing <br />Ms. Jennifer Schletty-Flores <br />Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Jessica Jagoe, Associate Planner <br />Ms. Heidi Heller, City Cleric <br />Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV <br />MINUTES The June 8, 2017 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved as <br />submitted. <br />COMPREHENSIVEThe Associate Planner reported that Abbott has applied for a <br />SIGN PLAN <br />Comprehensive Sign Plan amendment to allow a wall sign up to 191 square <br />AMENDMENT; <br />feet on the west elevation of the building. She explained that St. Jude, now <br />APPLICANT: <br />Abbott, went through the PUD process in 2007 which included a <br />ABBOTT, 1 ST. <br />comprehensive sign plan for construction of a new building as part of their <br />JUDE MEDICAL <br />corporate campus at 1 St. Jude Medical Drive. She stated that in 2007, St. <br />DRIVE <br />Jude Medical was approved for four signs; three wall signs and one <br />monument sign. The Associate Planner explained that St. Jude never <br />installed the third wall sign on the north elevation, but that with the <br />acquisition of St. Jude by Abbott, the signage is being updated with the <br />new company name and they are requesting a larger sign on the west <br />elevation in replacement of that sign. Staff reviewed the amount allowed <br />and they would still be under the 15% allowance for signage. <br />
