MINUTES <br />NADEAU <br />PARK <br />PLAYGROUND <br />IMPROVEMENT <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 7, 2013 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & <br />Recreation Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota, was held <br />on the 7th day of March, 2013, in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said city. <br />Chair Patti Sullivan called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Ms. Patti Sullivan <br />Ms. Linda Fahey <br />Mr. Tom Maida <br />Mr. Dan Slain <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />Mr. Kong Vang <br />Mr. Jeff Heikke <br />Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Rec Dir. <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Parks Consultant <br />Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV Prod. <br />Ms Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk <br />The Commission unanimously approved the minutes of the January 31, <br />2013 meeting. <br />Bill Sanders, Parks Consultant, welcomed the general public to this <br />evening's meeting noting the Commission is seeking the public's input <br />on the proposed playground improvement in Nadeau Park. Sanders <br />reported that the existing playground structure in the park has been in <br />place for a number of years. He indicated that the City periodically <br />evaluates these structures relative to their condition and safety, and this <br />structure no longer meets current ADA or safety requirements. The City <br />has budgeted for the replacement of this playground structure in 2013. It <br />has been working with a couple of companies on design and pricing. <br />
