MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JANUARY 17, 2007 <br />Pursuant to due call aid notice thereof a special meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 17th day of <br />January, 2007 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: <br />Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Ms. Barb Allan <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />City Administrator <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />INTERVIEWS The purpose of this special meeting is to conduct interviews of the four <br />FOR COUNCIL finalists for the City Council vacancy and to make an appointment to <br />VACANCY that position this evening, if possible. <br />The Council interviewed the four finalists individually, asking each a <br />series of prepared questions. Those interviews were conducted as follows: <br />Tom Duray - 6:30 p.m. <br />Chuck Pechmann - 7:10 p.m. <br />Mike McGraw - 7:50 p.m. <br />Bob Pedersen - 8:30 p.m. <br />At the conclusion of the interviews, the Council extensively discussed the <br />candidates, noting that all were well qualified and sincerely interested in <br />the position. <br />Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007-I-10 -APPOINTING MICHAEL MCGRAW <br />TO FILL THE VACANCY ON THE LITTLE CANADA CITY <br />COUNCIL FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TERM WHICH <br />EXPIRES NOVEMBER 4, 2008 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (2) Blesener, Allan. <br />Nays (2) Montour, Keis. Resolution defeated. <br />
