December 23, 1974 <br />Page One <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called <br />to order at 8:00 P.M. on December 23, 1974 by Mayor Bohjanen. <br />Councilmembers present; Jaworski, Marier, McLean, Zelinka. Mr. <br />Locher was also present. <br />The minutes of November 25, 1974 were considered. Mr. Marier <br />moved to approve the minutes as written. Seconded by Mr. McLean. <br />Motion carried. <br />The minutes of December 9, 1974 were corrected as follows; <br />Page 5, paragraph 8, change 'Mr. Jaworski' to ' Mr. Zelinka'. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the minutes with the correction. <br />Seconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. <br />The Clerk reported on the following tiems; <br />The year end report from Mr. Kline, Fire Marshall; <br />The Plumbing Inspector's recommendations for the coming <br />year as to fees, the recommended changes in building permit <br />fees had been computed and each Council member had a copy. <br />There was some discussion on these proposals with the Coun'i? <br />deciding to forward the recommendations to the Planning and <br />Zoning Board for their consideration and recommendation. <br />The Clerk will send a copy to all Board Members. <br />A letter from Mr. Boland concerned with the sewer interceptor <br />meeting asked for all members have a copy. <br />Read a letter from North Central Public Service stating <br />the rate increase on natural gas that will go into effect <br />on Jan. 27, 1975, This is a 5.2% raise that will cost <br />each consumer approximately $14.33 per year. <br />Read a letter from the Rice Creek Watershed Board informing <br />the Council of that Board's approval of the Whispering Pines <br />Plat. Mr. Marler akked that a copy of this letter. be sent <br />to the Planning and Zoning Board members and to him. <br />Marier reported on the activities of the Planning and Zoning <br />'lard at their meeting held on December 18, 1974. Mr. Dean <br />A'1n had appeared berore the Board asking for a variance to in - <br />c; -i11 a 650' private driveway on property just off Pine and 4th <br />A.;nue. Mr. Starr had reviewed the property and, with the <br />:stipulations that Mr. Allen understand' that the maintenance is <br />his responsibility, he found no problems with this driveway. <br />After discussion, where the stipulations were made known to Mr. <br />.`len and he agreed to them, the Planning and Zoning Board <br />recommended approval of this variance. Mr. Marier so moved. <br />^aconded by Mr. Zelinka. Motion carried. <br />!r. Blackbird had appeared asking for a variance for the transfer <br />of one acre of land adjacent to'the:present storage area for <br />North -Northeast Realty. He wondered if this should be rezoned <br />since it is outside the 300' limit for commercial use. The <br />Planning and Zoning Board recommended that he submit a planned <br />
