August 8, 1973 <br />A special meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board <br />was called to order on August 8, 1973 at 8:00 P.M. by Chairman <br />McLean. Members present; Karth, Kelling, Shearen. Absent; <br />Farrand, Nadeau, Hill. Mr. Marier was also present. Mr. <br />Lee Starr Village Planner, present. <br />A sign application for VFW Post 6583 was presented by the Post <br />Commander. Motion by Karth, Seconded by Shearen, to recommend <br />to the Council approval of application, with amendments so as <br />to conform with the village code. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Lee Starr, Village Planner, presented his first draft of a <br />comprehensive land use plan for the Village. The objective of <br />the Oomp rehens i ve Plan is to leave the Village zoned as i s . That <br />is agricultural and commercial. The Comprehensive Plan will be <br />used as a guide line for future development. Mr. Starr covered <br />each area of the Village with the P&Z. A few revisions were <br />agreed on and Mr. Starr will incorporate these in his next <br />presentation. Some discussion on Open Space was held, and it <br />was decided not to show additional areas, other than the County <br />Plan, on the Comprehensive map. <br />The next special P&Z meeting with the Village Planner was <br />scheduled for Sept. 5, 1973. Clerk is requested to send not- <br />ification of meeting to P&X members and Mr. Starr. <br />Motion to adjourn by Mr. Kelling, seconded by Mr. Karth at <br />10:30 P.M. <br />Minutes submitted by Mr. Shearen. <br />
