A joint meeting of representatives from Lexington , Circle Pines and Lino <br />Lakes was held on March 31, 1969 at the Lexington village hall to discuss <br />the confusion to motorists as a result of the exit signs which have been <br />placed on 35W at the old Highway 8'exit leading into Lexington, Circle <br />Pines and Lino Lakes. <br />Present were: Mayor Robert Morstad, Lexington; Arthur Otte, member of the <br />Lexington Planning Board; Mayor Lende Anderson and Trustee Ken Uthe, Circle <br />Pines and Trustee Bill Bohjanen, Lino Lakes. <br />A resolution was passed as follows: <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the State Highway Department place an overhead <br />sign at the exit of 35W and Old Highway 8, naming Lexington and <br />Circle Pines on the sign, and relocating the present Lake Drive sign <br />to the 35W and Highway 8 junction in Lino Lakes. <br />Further reference was made to the resolution passed recently by the Anoka <br />County Board of Commissioners to support the villages in their request <br />on informative signs they feel necessary. <br />Each village council is to act on this resolution which will be forwarded <br />to the State Highway Department, Senator Tom Grieg, Representative Vgrn <br />Plaisance and County Commissioner Robert Burman after all councils have <br />acted on the resolution. ° <br />
