PARK BOARD October 10 , 1984 The special meeting of the Lino Lakes Park Board was called to order on Wednesday , October 10 , 1984 at 8 : 50 P.M. by Chairman Ken Johnson . Other board members present : Scherer , Flannery and Lindy . Absent : R. Johnson and Nissen. Mrs . Foster recorded minutes . The subject of this meeting was to discuss the issue of whether or not to vacate the property which has been dedicated to the City as LaMotte Park. Background on this item can be found in previous month 's Park Board minutes . The Park Board and the Planning and Zoning Board have met just prior to this meeting (as requested by the Park Board) to discuss the issue . Refer to P & Z Board minutes for the discussion that took place . Mr. Flannery made the following motion : "In reference to a document which has been described as a plat of LaMotte 's Addition and also includes LaMotte 's 3rd Addition , I would propose that we recommend that easement not be vacated and that the property to be developed would have access from a proposed road which would enter Centerville Road from LaMotte Road per proposed plat diagram. I would submit that the proposed plat diagram be attached as an exhibit to the minutes . In essence the park property would then remain as is . " The motion was seconded by Mr . Lindy . Motion carried unanimously . Someone from the audience then asked what the Park Board 's intention is in regard to grading and seeding the area , to which Mr. Johnson answered that the Board would not commit to any action at this time , but would consider it as an agenda item for their next regular meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8 : 55 .
