_yam* <br /> Charter Commission Meeting <br /> August 11 , 1988 <br /> Meeting called to order 7 : 12PM. <br /> Members Present: Chairman Jerry Hanson, Eugene Bloomquist, Kay Murphy, <br /> Bernice Juleen, Paul Howard, Sally Kuether, Ron Mikolai , Kim Olson, <br /> Curtis Pelarski , Al Ross , Warren Schlichting, Debra Smith. <br /> City Representatives : H. Bisel , Councilman. <br /> R. Schumacher, City Administrator <br /> Absent: Member Royce Zaudtke. <br /> Eight new members were introduced. <br /> Due to unavoidable circumstances, notice of this meeting was not <br /> printed in the City's legal newspaper. As a result unofficial format <br /> was retained in proceedings. <br /> Each member was issued a copy of the Charter with amendments attached. <br /> Chairman Hanson reviewed a "Summary of the Charter" and "Organization <br /> Chapter 410 for City Charters . <br /> To insure a quorum at meetings , if a member cannot attend, please call <br /> Jerry Hanson to be excused. If four meetings are unattended, member's <br /> position is subject to revocation and reappointment by Chief Judge . <br /> Law states the Commission shall meet at least once a year. <br /> On General Consensus : <br /> A small file cabinet w/lock will be purchased to be kept in the City <br /> Hall . <br /> A master set of files to be established with an effort to gather any <br /> previous records from past Commission officials . <br /> In the future, notice of meetings, copies of minutes for members and <br /> published notice of meeting will be the responsibility of the Com- <br /> mission. <br /> Meeting to be published twice in the City's official newspaper. (Quad <br /> Press, White Bear Lake. ) Notice submitted to paper three weeks in <br /> advance of the meeting. <br /> David Kennedy, City Bond Consul will be invited to the next meeting to <br /> detail his requested changes to Chapter 8 of the Charter. <br />
