• <br />• <br />_RESOLULTION 81 -7 <br />RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF REDISTRICTING OF ANOKA COUNTY COMMISSIONER <br />DISTRICTS TO SEVEN DISTRICTS FOR THE 1982 ELECTION. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Lino Lakes perceived the intent <br />of Resolution 79-22 passed by the Anoka County Board of <br />Commissioners, February 27, 1979, was to redistrict to <br />seven districts, and <br />WHEREAS, The Anoka County Legislative Delegation did, due to <br />unanimous request of the Anoka County Board of Commissioners <br />contained in Resolution 79 -22, carry and sucessfully pass <br />a bill, Chapter 112 of the Minnesota Session Laws of <br />1979, providing the permissive authority for redistricting <br />to seven districts which permissive authority must be <br />exercised by December 31, 1981, and <br />WHEREAS, It is the opinion of the Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />that the proper representation and leadership for the <br />citizens of Anoka County necessary for meeting the in- <br />creased service demands of a growing county will best be <br />realized through the redistricting of Anoka County <br />Commissioner districts to seven districts; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City <br />of Lino Lakes requests the Anoka County Board of Commissioners to <br />redistrict to seven County Commissioner Districts for the 1982 <br />election; <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Lino Lakes <br />supports the Anoka County Legislative delagation in the passage of <br />H.F. 829 effecting said redistricting. <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13th <br />day of April, 1981. <br />Edna L.
