1 <br />Budget Workshop <br />September 8, 1981 <br />Fi <br />This meeting was called to order by Mayor Gourley at 8:00 P.M., September <br />8, 1981 with Mr. McLean and Mr. Kulaszewicz being absent. <br />BINGO REQUEST <br />This request had been made on August 10, 1981 and thus fulfills the 30 days <br />notification requirement. Mr. Jaworski moved to approve this request. <br />Seconded by Mrs. Elsenpeter. Motion carried unanimously. <br />GENERAL BUDGET DISCUSSION <br />Mayor Gourley noted that since two Council members are absent there is no <br />need to go into details - just a basic run through. <br />Mr. Schumacher noted this is just work sheet prepared by teh Department <br />Heads noting the level of service those persons feel the City should be <br />operating at. <br />In all the salary areas, a figure has been inserted as an estimate. The <br />final figures will have to wait until union negotiations are completed. <br />The Council went through the proposed budgets for the following departments; <br />Government Building. Police Department, Building Inspection, Public Works, <br />Shop and Park Department. There was general discussion and explanation <br />of some of the items. <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M. <br />September 14, 1981 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at <br />7:30 P.M., September 14, 1981, by Mayor Gourley. Council members present; <br />Elsenpeter, Kulaszewicz, McLean. Absent; Jaworski. Mr. Gotwald, Mr. Locher <br />and Mr. Schumacher were also present. <br />There were no additions or corrections to the minutes of August 24, 1981. <br />Mayor Gourley said the minutes would stand approved as presented. <br />Mr. Elsenpeter corrected the minutes of September 2, 1981 as follows; <br />Page one, paragraph 2, under Resolution 81 -25 - delete "Mr. Schumahcer and <br />not" from the fifth sentence and insert "the Commission and ". <br />Mr. McLean moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Seconded by Mr. <br />Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimoulsy. <br />Mr. McLean questioned the minutes of the Public Hearings held on May 27 and <br />July 15 - are they ready? The Clerk said they would be ready for Thursday, <br />September 17, 1981. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz asked if the bond sale was proceeding light of the fact that <br />that Circle Pines had turned down the City's request to connect totheir <br />system? Mayor Gourley said the City has another outlet and the bond sale <br />would proceed. <br />DISBURSEMENTS <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to approve the disbursements as presented. Seconded <br />
