12 <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />August 8, 1977 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice therof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, was duly held at the City <br />Offices on August 8, 1977. <br />The following members were present; Mayor William I. Bohjanen, Council - <br />men Harvey F. Karth, John McLean, Robert 0. Schneider and Richard J. Zelinka. <br />ion: <br />Councilman McLean introduced the following resolution and moved its adopt- <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING THE COST TO BE ASSESSED, ORDERING PREPARATION OF <br />PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND CALLING FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENT. <br />WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of all of LaMotte <br />Road in the plats of LaMotte's Second Addition and LaMotte's Third Addition by the in- <br />stallation of sanitary sewer and street restoration and the total cost of the improve- <br />ment will be $63,200.00, 100 percent of which will be assessed to benefited abutting <br />property, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />I. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby de- <br />clared to be $63,200.00. <br />2. The City Clerk- Treasurer, with the assistance of the City consult- <br />ing engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for <br />such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land benefited by said <br />improvement and abutting on said LaMotte Road, without regard to cash valuation, as pro- <br />vided by law, and she shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in her office for <br />public inspection and notify the City Council thereof. <br />3. A public hearing shall be held on Monday, the 12th day of September <br />1977, at 9:30 o'clock P.M., at the Council Chamber in the City Hall, to pass upon such <br />proposed special assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property aff- <br />ected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such <br />special assessment. <br />4. The City Clerk- Treasurer is hereby directed to cause a notice of the <br />hearing on the proposed special assessment to be published once in the official news- <br />paper at least two (2) weeks prior to the hearing, and she shall state in the notice the <br />total cost of the improvement. She shall also cause mailed notices to be given to the <br />owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll not less than two (2) weeks prior <br />to the hearing. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded <br />by Councilman Zelinka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: Mayor Bohjanen and Councilmen Karth, McLean, and Zelinka and the following <br />voted against the same: None <br />
