23 <br />The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Village Council on March 25, 1968, was called <br />to order by Mayor Ralph L'Allier at 8:07 PM with all members present. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved that the minutes be accepted as corrected. Seconded by Mr. <br />Rosengren. Carried. <br />A letter from Mr. Ken Bryant concerning his recent CD course was read. Mr. Bryant <br />distributed literature on the course and some to be used in the event of his absence <br />during a disaster. When the second half of the course is completed he will be cer- <br />tified by the State of Minn., C.D. Dept. and qualified to make reports which will <br />indicate the whereabouts of any emergency equipment in the Village. <br />Mr. Rosengren moved that the Mother's Club of Lino Lakes Elementary School be allowed <br />to hold bingo games on Sat., April 27, from 4-8 PM during the annual Carnival held <br />there. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved that the following resolution be adopted and sent to the Anoka <br />County Sheriff: <br />RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, The Villages of Circle Pines, Lexington and Lino Lakes are all <br />municipalities within the County of Anoka, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the foregoing municipalities to secure the most <br />adequate police protection available for the residents of their communities, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Villages of Circle Pines, Lexington <br />and Lino Lakes hereby request that the Anoka County Board of Commissioners submit <br />proposals to our three communities for police protection by the Anoka County <br />Sheriff's office and that said proposals be submitted to our communities on a joint <br />participation basis. <br />Seconded by Mr. Cardinal. Carried. <br />The Park Board minutes were read. Mr. Jaworski mentioned that bolts on the Buck -A- <br />Bouts were continually coming loose; a letter was being sent to Game -Time, Inc. <br />concerning this. Also, the Park Board members will donate time to paint the seats <br />on the Buck -A -Bouts at Sunrise. They will also replace two shakes on the barn roof. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved that Mr. Locher be authorized to check with Burnsville on a model <br />ordinance regarding donations of land by developers for park use. Seconded by Mr. <br />Rosengren. Carried. <br />Mr. Luther LeVesseur had asked to be replaced as a Park Board member due to lack of <br />time to attend the meetings. Mr. Jaworski had no recommendation for a replacement <br />at this time. <br />The Park Board is investigating the purchase of new lighting fixtures for the rink <br />at Sunrise. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved that $2500 in the P&P Fund designated as "lands and survey" be <br />transferred into Certificates of Deposit to be held for use in matchingsFederal Funds <br />for developing parks as soon as funds are available. Seconded by Mr. Bohjanen. Carried. <br />Discussion of the recent trash and grass fire at the Youth Center led to a motion by <br />Mr. Jaworski that the Clerk direct a letter to the Youth Center instructing them to <br />obtain an incinerator for burning trash or else get a permit, and including a copy of <br />the burning ordinance. Seconded by Mr. Rosengren. Carried. <br />
