Mr. Hermes, agent for Mrs. Fay - <br />moville, read the legal description and listed those people with a finan- <br />cial interest in the matter. I4r. Speiser motioned that we approve the re- <br />quest for rezoning to a commercial basis, and Zelinka seconded. Motion <br />carried. <br />The regular business meeting was next called to order with members Speiser, <br />Domning and Zelinka present. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read. Motion by Speiser, second by <br />Domning to approve the minutes carried. <br />Virgil R. Anderson, 6$4$ Rustic Lane, entered a request to build a garage <br />which would come within 5 feet of the adjoining property. The request was <br />accompanied by the necessary approval signed by the next property holder. <br />Mayor Domning asked that the matter go through the procedure and turned it <br />over to the Planning Commission to act on it at their meeting on the 21st. <br />The Council will then complete the action on the 26th. <br />Mrs. Mishaud on Aqua Lane asked if the Council would consider writing to <br />the Commanding Officer at the Arsenal inquiring if the flood gates could <br />be lifted until such time as some of the excess water has receded. Upon <br />resolution by the Council, Mr. Gottwald will write this letter. <br />Mr. Speiser reported on the July 2 park board meeting, at which time it <br />was decided to grant permission for the Lexington Softball Tounament to be <br />held on August 14/15, a special permit to sell beer on these two days will <br />
