C I T <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: March 5, 2015 <br />O F <br />FROM: Michael Grochala, Community Development Director <br />RE: March 5, 2015 EDAC Meeting <br />Attached is the agenda and draft February meeting minutes for your review. We will be <br />discussing the Open to Business program at this meeting. <br />Open to Business <br />Anoka County has retained Open to Business to assist cities with their economic <br />development efforts. Open to Business is a program of the Metropolitan Consortium of <br />Community Developers that offers support to entrepreneurs and other local businesses. <br />They bring on -site business service specialists to supplement the economic <br />development support normally offered by municipal agencies and provide one-on-one <br />assistance to local small businesses in the form of start-up financing and business plan <br />development. <br />Kathleen DuChene is a Business Advisor with the program and will be present to discuss <br />the organization and how they can assist the city. <br />S:\Advisory Boards & Commissions\EDAC\Packets\2015\03-05-15\20150305 EDAC Staff Memo.doc <br />
